Dr. Md Shohidul Islam is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from George Mason University, Virginia, USA, in 2024. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a Ph.D. Intern at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Washington, USA, and as a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), USA. He previously completed his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ulsan, South Korea, in 2012, and his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, in 2007. Dr. Islam’s research lies at the intersection of computer architecture, machine learning, and security. His publications have appeared in leading IEEE and ACM conferences and journals, including HPCA, DAC, DATE, ICCAD, TC, TCAD, HOST, ICCD, ISQED, and Springer Nature. His research has earned multiple recognitions, including a Best Paper Award and an Excellent Paper Award. In addition to his research contributions, he has served as a peer reviewer for several prestigious venues, including IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED), and Scientific Reports (Nature).
